Maggie Boyraz, Ph.D.

Dr. Maggie Boyraz is an Associate Professor in the Management Department at California State University, San Bernardino. She earned a B.A. in Marketing and Management (from Silesian University in Poland), M.A. in I/O Psychology from Brooklyn College, CUNY, and Ph.D. in Communication from Rutgers University. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business communication, organizational behavior, and team collaboration.

Her research interests include the impact of diversity on processes and outcomes of global teams, organizations’ expectations in terms of teamwork and other soft skills, new forms of organizing such as remote and hybrid work, as well as assimilation into multinational organizations. Her research has been published in journals from several disciplines, including Management Communication Quarterly, Journal of Applied Communication, and Human Resource Management Review.

In addition, Dr. Boyraz is a co-founder of the Speaking Center at California State University, San Bernardino, and in this service role, she contributes to students’ career success and long-lasting soft skills. Before her academic career, she worked professionally, for example, in business operations and Human Resource Management.
