Dr. Tina Opie is the proud recipient of the Johnson Family Term Chair in the Management Department at Babson College. She is an award-winning professor, researcher, consultant, and speaker.
Dr. Tina received her Ph.D. in Management from New York University's Stern School of Business in 2010. She is a versatile educator and has taught in the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs at Babson College. She has won the Babson Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence, the Dr. Martin Luther King Service Leadership Award and the Dean’s Research Excellence Award. She was named to Poets & Quants' Most Influential Business Professors list in 2025 and is a ranked thinker on the Thinkers50 global list.
She is the co-author of Shared Sisterhood, along with Dr. Beth Livingston. Shared Sisterhood received the 2024 Academy of Management George R. Terry Book Award, the field's top award granted annually to the book judged to have made the most outstanding and important contribution to the global advancement of management knowledge and practice.
She is the founder of Opie Consulting Group LLC, where she advises various firms across many industries. She is also a regular media commentator.
