Michelle Yu, MPH, is the Co-founder & CEO of Josie, a workforce services company that helps employers retain and advance working parents through high-risk career transitions. Partnering directly with organizations, Josie delivers targeted transition coaching, leadership trainings, on-demand content, and Employee Resource Group (ERG) programming designed to increase engagement, retention, and well-being among working parent employees.
Prior to launching Josie, Michelle worked in healthcare consulting at Deloitte, Booz & Company, The Advisory Board, and Optum. Her background in public health, combined with management consulting experience and lived experience as a working mom, helped to shape Josie’s practical, human-centered approach to supporting parents and the leaders who manage them.
Michelle’s work has been featured in TIME, Charter, TODAY.com, TEDx, Motherly, The Female Quotient, the American Bar Association and the American Hospital Association. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan and Bachelors in Finance from The University of Illinois. Michelle currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two children.
