Kristina Durante, PhD

Dr. Kristina Durante is an evolutionary psychologist, research professor at Rutgers Business School, and author of SIMPLE: Yesterday’s Brain, Today’s World, and the Forgotten Science of Living Well. Her research is guided by the idea that the human brain evolved for an ancestral environment that no longer exists, not our modern environment. Her work is featured in leading scientific journals and media outlets such as Fast Company, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Magazine, and The CEO Magazine. Kristina also writes opinion articles and conducts executive education workshops on emotional wellness and stress management. Kristina received a PhD in psychology from the University of Texas, Austin. Before this, she spent nearly a decade as an entertainment publicist in New York and Los Angeles, working for companies like MGM, Loud Records, and Planet Hollywood.
