
Dr. Taveeshi Gupta is a globally recognized expert in gender equality, masculinities research, and the transformative power of care. As Director of Research, Evaluation, and Learning at Equimundo, she leads groundbreaking research that challenges harmful gender norms and advances equitable caregiving across cultures and communities worldwide. Her work bridges developmental psychology with large-scale social change, using rigorous mixed-methodological research to illuminate pathways toward gender equity. She has served as an expert adviser on several high-level expert committees with the United Nations, Movember, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, to name a few. She is also on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Lancet Commission on Violence against Women and Girls.
Her scholarly work has been cited more than 1,600 times and has been featured in several media outlets such as The Guardian and NPR, reflecting the profound influence of her research on academic and policy communities globally. Through her recent work, she addresses critical contemporary challenges, including the impact of the "manosphere" on young men's attitudes toward gender equality and the rising isolation experienced by men across generations. She graduated from New York University with a PhD in Developmental Psychology.
